Plot inspection Oct 17th

Oct. 1, 2020, 1:23 p.m.

Time to tidy up...

"It's been a very long time since there was a plot inspection. The trustees will be doing a thorough plot and site inspection on October 17. We are being guided by the Guild's rules until new Lettsom Allotment rules are approved and published. We will be looking for any potential health and safety issues/repair; Plots being in good order.
We expect from you to do the following in the run up to the inspection:
Paths are maintained.
Rubbish removed and taken home from plots. Green waste disposed off in your compost bins or if too woody taken to your local dump.
Plots are being cultivated.
Prune overgrown trees and bushes (refer to the rules).
Young small self-seedling saplings removed (saplings grow into huge trees, it's your responsibility to make sure they don't get a foothold creating future costly removal problems.)
Sheds and greenhouses in good repair.

Please do not dump rubbish/Green waste by the front gate as somebody has already put allotment waste there. Take it home with you.
If you need advice from the trustees please contact us to discuss.
If you are struggling to maintain your plot we do have a plot available to downsize too. Please contact the trustees this week otherwise it will be allocated by the end of the month."
